Top Talent Invades Central Ohio At The ETG Sports Youth Football Combine

The 2nd annual (ETG Sports) youth football combine took place February 19th, 2024, at the Resolute Athletic Complex in Columbus Ohio. Over 80 youth athletes were in attendance to compete against top competition in hopes of winning the ETG combine MVP award trophy. This next level exposure event is designed for kids to see what it's like to compete in high velocity also preparing the youth on how to execute proper mechanics while participating in future HS combines/college camp settings. This article took adequate time to evaluate film, results of testing, and 1 vs 1's drill sessions.

(ALPHA DOGS)

1.) Kylion Weller Massey- This (Pickerington Ridgeview Middle School) 7th grade football athlete stood out in all facets. Very smooth poised athlete overall, put on one of the best combine performances of the day. Won the 7th-8th grade fastest man contest with a few 9th graders added, excelled in the drill session, dominated in the WR | DB 1 vs 1's. Tested very well running one of the fastest 40 times (4.81) seconds at the event. What stood out most was his ability to be coached up after a mistake. Son of former University of Minnesota college DB Keith Massey. Weller-Massey was excited to bring home the ETG combine MVP trophy congratulations to him.

2.) Romeo Phipps- This (GH Packers Junior) athlete is easily one of the top (10u) youth football prospects in the country. We see him as a raw athlete holding top notch ability with elite measurables to back it up. Long rangy frame that looks the part already. If Romeo perfects his craft his upside potential will likely increase. For the second year in a row at the ETG combine Romeo displayed rare athleticism for a kid his age. Once again testing off the charts running a blistering (4.9) second 40, easily won the 4th-6th grade fastest man contest. solid during drills, offensively dominated the WR | DB 1 vs 1's portion of the event with ease. Able to track deep balls with precision, high point balls in traffic while displaying great body control. It's going to be interesting to see how this prospect develops in the future.

3.) Gino Nolan Jr- This (Legacy Ducks 10u) star was able to put on a top 3 overall performance. Tested very well posting the fastest shuttle (4.75) seconds. Gino also finished a respectable second place in the 4th-6th fastest man contest. Tested very well overall as he displayed fluid hips, elite footwork during drills also dominating in the 1 vs 1's portion of the exposure event. Nolan executed his elite skill set in, and out of his breaks, while showing off complete ball skills. Gino has displayed his ability to use his rocker step effectively to separate from defenders.

4.) Joe Copeland Jr- This Cleveland Ohio, (Ginn Elite 10u) athlete displayed a extremely well versed solid skill set during drills, testing etc. Very fluid athlete proved to be amongst the top of the chain. Joe seemed to have stellar coordination making each part of the exposure event look at ease. When Copeland Jr got the chance to display his cannon of an arm, he delivered sharp accurate passes with zip possessing the necessary arm strength to make difficult throws. Tested near the top also posting an (4.9) second 40 at the combine.

5.) Antone Jones- This (Legacy Tarheels 8u) athlete proved why he's considered one of the quickest (8u) youth football prospects in the country, his nickname is after the famous "Sonic" character. The elite speedster posted an extremely fast 40 time of (5.01) seconds! Antone is an 3rd grade athlete and got the mission of "High Velocity". What impressed ETG scouts, and analyst was his intense capability to win the 2nd-3rd grade division fastest man contest. Off the record Antone went uphill in a race competition of 3rd-4th graders and won with leading footsteps. Antone holds the elite ballcarrier vision IQ needed to usually make the first defender miss when he runs the ball. During the drill session, testing, and 1 v 1's Antone did not lose a step-in confidence dominating against his opposition.

6.) Jace Gadison- (Legacy Hurricanes 9u) During Jace's youth football career this top prospect has been considered one of the best QB1s in the country. While Jace is a top notch QB/ field general, he has taken his past teams to national champions around the region/country such as Florida, etc. His ability at the safety position is the reason why he's been ranked an ETG youth 4-star prospect with a major space left for development.  Jace amazed a lot of ETG scouts, and analyst at the (2023) ETG Sports youth football combine once again proving he is near the top. This blue-chip athlete tested extremely well at the top of his grade. The nationally recognized Dual-Threat QB displayed great arm strength during 1 vs 1's, nice ball rotation, and with some fine tuning Jace could become a force at higher levels of play. The upside is definitely there!

7.) Zachary Robinson- This (Legacy Ducks 10u) athlete is a dominant force, powerhouse threat with a high strength manifest. Very athletic as he showed the ability to fire off the snap and catch the ball at TE.

8.) Brandon Evans- This calm, smooth, under the radar (Legacy Hurricanes 9u) athlete quietly excels at everything he does. What caught my eye was the way he is always under control no matter the circumstances poise shows up. Solid as they come, this kind of prospect can easily go unnoticed in this type of setting. Once i reviewed some footage Brandon was always in the mix with the best of the best. One of the only prospects at the event to be proficient at everything! Pays attention to detail with a professional like demeanor. Throughout the 1 vs 1's you could see his decision-making skills was on point posted respectable test scores.

9.) Corry Benson- This (Legacy Tarheels 8u) top prospect has shown up both years at the ETG combine. Benson possesses elite traits that cannot be ignored. Natural instincts are one of the best attributes Corry utilizes to give him advantages over opposing defenses. During drills, and 1 vs 1's it was easy to see that Corry is getting better each year to come. All around Corry had a great performance at this exposure event, and without a question he proved why he is within the top 10. As Benson continues to lead his Tarheels team to national competition we look forward to seeing him take that next step.

10.) Carter Fleming- This nationally recognized (Legacy Hurricanes 9u) playmaker on both sides of the ball appears ready to take the next step. High motor athlete tested well, held his own in the 1 vs 1's also displaying extremely quick footwork during the drill sessions. Works out with a business-like attitude that will defenitely pay dividends in the future. Possesses true gameness, and heart to make up for the stature.
